Frequently asked questions

How do I stop myself? What is the minimum age?

What is unique about Skull Canyon Ziplines is our own Hands-Free Patented Braking System that allows our guests to enjoy the Ziplines and not worry about braking themselves.

We do not have a minimum age requirement.  We do have a weight requirement which is 60 lbs to 250 lbs for the Original Course and 100 lbs to 250 lbs for the Extreme and Monster.  The Speed Run Tour is 80 lbs to 250 lbs.  This policy is strictly enforced.

Do I need a reservation or can I just show up?

Yes you must have a reservation so we know you are coming and we can have tour guides ready to take you up the mountain.  Tours can sell out days or weeks in advance.  We like to keep the tours no more than 10 people on a tour.  Once the tour reaches 10 people it is no longer available.  If you have more than 10 people in your group please call ahead to schedule your private party.  All 4 tours have different start times for training purposes.

If you wake up in the morning and decide to go ziplining please call us at 951.471.0999 we may be able to accommodate  if there are still spaces open.

Our Online booking system closes 12 hours prior to tour time.

What is your cancellation policy?

We have a 48 hour cancellation policy.  Any cancellations made within 48 hours prior to tour time will be charged full price.  We have reserved this tour time for you and may have turned others away.   No shows and late arrivals will also be charged full price.   Check in is 20 minutes prior to tour time.   We have hired guides, office staff and drivers to have everything ready when you arrive.  All tours will start on time with or without you.  This policy will allow tour guides to be ready for their next scheduled tour time.

What are the health and safety requirements needed to participate?

Guests should be prepared for moderate to strenuous activity and be able to walk/hike uphill over slippery and/or uneven terrain.  These tours are not suitable for those who are pregnant, have back or neck issues/injuries, experience dizziness, seizures, or any other serious medical condition.

What if I want to watch but not do the zipline?

Only those that are ziplining can go on the tour.  We do have a spectators area at check in, where you are able to see some of the tour.

What if there is bad weather?

We will NOT cancel tours due to cold or mildly rainy weather.  We may cancel tours due to unsafe weather conditions such as heavy rain, heavy winds or lightning.  If we cancel tours due to weather you will receive a full refund or reschedule.  We do not like to argue with mother nature.

Do I need to sign a waiver?

Yes, all participants must sign a waiver before participating in the tour.  The waivers are provided at check-in.  Guests under 18 years of age must have a legal guardian signature before zipping.  For a copy of our waiver please print one out.

Can I bring a camera? What should I wear?

Yes, we do allow camera's, cell phones and GoPro's on the tour.  If you have your own GoPro, please bring the Slide Attachment so that it will slide into our helmet mount. We do NOT allow selfie sticks.  We are not responsible for and cannot recover any items dropped from the course.

MUST wear closed toe shoes.  Wear comfortable clothes;  jeans, cargo pants or shorts, t-shirt, maybe a light jacket that you can take off and wrap around your waist.

You may bring a small back pack if you like for phone or camera.  We do provide water on the hike and at several locations throughout the course.

How long does it take to complete the zipline tour?

Plan to spend 2 to 2.5 hours with us for the Original Course and the Extreme Course.  The Monster Course will be 2.5 to 3 hours.  The Speed run is a half hour.  Check-in is 20 minutes prior to tour time.  The tour will start on time with, or WITHOUT you.  No refund for late arrivals.

My child doesn't weigh enough, do you allow tandem?

We do NOT allow tandem.  We have a patented braking system that does not allow tandem.  Guests will not make it from one end to the other if they do not meet the weight requirement.

This is my 1st time, what is the difference between the tours?

The $85 Original Course is great for beginners. It's like floating through the trees.  It is 80 feet above ground.  Popular with kids due to the 60 lb weight requirement.  Longest zipline is 660 feet long. (about 2 football fields)

The Extreme Course is longer, higher and faster and is 200 feet above ground.  It has 5 ziplines.  It has a 1/2 hour hike to the top.  Definitely not for kids since the min weight req is 100 lbs.  This is like being aerodynamic and trying to gain as much speed as you can since the cables are so much longer and higher on this course.  Longest zipline is 1,800 feet long.

The Monster Course has about an hour hike to top and only runs at 9am only.  This course has 7 ziplines.

The Speed run is for those that just want a quick adrenaline rush and don't have much time.  This tour is our side by side zipline, it is included on the Extreme and Monster tours.  It is also half price when you add it to the Original Course.   This zipline is 1,700 feet long and is the 2nd longest line on the property.

What if I don't meet the weight requirement?

Please make sure everyone in your group weighs between 60 lbs and 250 lbs for the Original Course and between 100 lbs to 250 lbs for the Extreme and Monster Courses.

All guests will be weighed at check and the only person that can see the scale is the person behind the counter.

If you do not meet the weight requirement you will not be allowed on the tour.  We do not give refunds for this as we have reserved this spot just for you and have turned others away.
